You Think Bush is Bad?
Virginia Senater George Allen hopes to be the Republican presidential candidate in 2008. Wouldn't we be lucky to have such an intelligent, witty, and charming man to run the country for a change? The kind of man who will call a person of color a monkey? And we thought international perception of the US couldn't get any worse. Boy, were we silly, silly people.

After the Bush groping German chancellor fiasco, I learned that Bush's handlers (really, not intended) had encouraged him to be a little more "hands on" in public. Maybe Allen's handlers have asked him to refer to people affectionately as animals? And like Bush, he just took it a little too far.
So you are writing off the guy as an idiot because he couldn't think of the word "mullet."

Nor can you, apparently. The word is 'mohawk'. You fit well into my system.
Also, the word is 'racist', not 'idiot'.
Also, I am more inclined to write him off for his poor record on race issues and the fact that he was too stubborn to issue a genuine apology for a significant mistake.
